Crazy Kitchen Chemistry
Level: Suitable for Foundation to Level 6
Duration: 50 minutes
Delivery: via Zoom video conferencing
Numbers: each workshop is capped at a maximum of 30 learners
Adult supervision recommended
Activities
Watch a teabag take flight
Create a chemical reaction using kitchen chemicals that produce carbon dioxide gas
Make and eat sherbet, noting the ‘fizzy’ sensation produced by the chemical reaction
Students use food colouring to observe the effect of disrupting the surface tension of milk
